For my son, Zeph, who helped me write this and then made me play “Tickle Fest” for the 100 billionth time! Tickle Fest The Tickle Fest game is a funderful time. Play with your kids, it won’t cost you a dime. To begin this weird game, lay down on the floor. Close your eyes, no peeking, now! I swear you’ll want more. All you need for this fun is just two players. Take turns at these parts; one the “Tickler”, one the “Layer.” The Layer just “lays” there, but eyes must be closed. The Tickler begins by reciting this prose: “Gee, where shall I tickle this poor little schmib? Their neck or their belly, their feet or their ribs?” The secret to laughter, now, I will shed: Is a touch of the finger on the body part said. The Layer will giggle, ‘cuz he hasn’t a clue where the tickle will land; what the Tickler will do. The giggles get louder and the Layer can’t rest. Now, Tickler, get in there For the big ticklefest! Tickle, tickle, tickle! Make the Layer dance! Don’t stop tickling ‘til he pees his pants! Then you finally hear “Uncle”, the Layer “lays” like a slug. The Tickler can stop and give the Layer a hug! Well tickle me Elmo! lol What a fun and tickly mother you are Deb. Your kids are very lucky to have a mom who makes them so happy. I could never play that game, I am just too darned ticklish lol. Wonderful story, tell your son he is a good writer who takes after his wonderful mother. Never stop laughing with your kids, and they’ll never stop, with their’s. Rich ![]() |

I'm so glad you all "get" it! The kids and I have done this since they were toddlers. They are now 11 and 13 and though Tickle Fest isn't a common occurance anymore - they will still ask for it before bedtime once in a great while. And yes, I've had many people comment about how this would be fun for adults too! LMAO - never thought of it that way because it was totally innocent, but now that it's mentioned... yep - it sure could be fun! ![]() |

I loved your poem Graeshine, it reflects a very happy household and the tickling does help seal a special bond with your children. Great post my dear, keep up your good work. Love Lindsay |

Oh, what a funny write and play, dear Debra! I enjoyed it greatly. My daughter sent me a video, where the seven months old Milo is tickled by the 4 year old brother Simon. The laughter of both is something I can't get enough of, I think I have watched and listened to the video already more than a dozen times! Laughter helps so much to make children (and also adults) feel well and alleviate tensions. Thank you for this moment of joy! Love, Margherita ![]() |
