It was a pact made with a stone-hearted gypsy or perhaps the devil himself that carried her to the dark of a bottom-less well in pretense that her thirst could be quenched like some open-minded cafe that poured endless liquid steaming and frothy while her limbs thrashed the perfect sands of her mandala only to find them carried away by tantric winds into the night. Excellent, beautiful poem! I hope it was cathartic. I am sorry for your pain. I learnt 2 new words - mandala and tantric. Thank you. I looked them up on an Internet dictionary and realise that there is a lot more to both than I could read in one short explanation, but know, nevertheless, that I am enriched by what I read. - Owl |

"...thirst could be quenched..." Makes me think that some promises (pacts) are so fictitious from the onset. Loved this muchly. |

Margherita- Your pleasure at savoring my words is the greatest gift. Many thanks. Owl- Isn't it great to learn something new everyday? Tibetan monks use millions of grains of colored sands to create incredible sand mandalas in 3 - 5 days. Then they sweep up the sands to symbolize the impermanence of all that exists. The sand is given to the audience as blessings for personal health and healing. Double X- Namaste and thanks for your kind words. DS- Aren't we all strangers to ourselves at some time? Glad you enjoyed the write. Ida- Pleased you felt the energy of my humble musings. FF- Promises made in the now, are often blind to the future and past. That doesn't mean we believe in them any less. Thanks for reading. |
