There's an angel in the churchyard
With his hands in the air.
He has held this hallelujah
For a hundred years
Ushering us to heaven
With marble veneer.
Today I struck up his pose
For what you might call a dare
For 2 minutes 16 seconds
I held it there
And wondered how long it takes.
Now my hands just dangle
And they wont let me in the pearly gates,
Because my arm shakes.
