Kindled Fire Some call me crazy, Others insane, Posing questions, Wanting answers Wondering why I wait this long, All for a girl that may not even matter They don’t see, What I see That glint in her eye as I stare, Straight down to her soul That tone in her voice, As we talk all night long They say I need to move on, It’s been to long now, The fire is dead Reduced to ash That fire, I say, Is now a small ember Waiting to be kindled Into a blazing bonfire The fire of desire Is never completely put out It lays dormant Waiting for the moment to re-ignite Maybe I am crazy, And insane too There’s only one cure Of this I’m sure |

"That fire, I say, Is now a small ember Waiting to be kindled Into a blazing bonfire" And that is why there are love poets writing throughout all of recorded history! |
