So to where
Do you imagine John
You are going

Has your life so far
Been in such despair
That this is what
You now endeavor

I refuse
As lead or follower
To what I know
Is failure

You can’t go back
To what was not
However long
You travel

An Angel's whisper, to be taken to heart not only by John! Thank you for recording this truth with such intensity.

Love,
Margherita

Margherita,

Thank you

Still I do not enjoy
writing what I consider
to be cruel poems . . .

however sometimes
under the influence . . .

Yes, I understand, nostalgia can induce us through its painful intensity to try to recover something that lies in the past and this can cause great disappointment and hurt.
I believe we are meant to experience every feeling.

Love,
Margherita

Nostalgia stinks of regret. I hate that smell.
