when a guy clams down,
don't pry him open
as you would an oyster

you won't find
resolutions nicely shaped
up into lucid diamonds

you would trigger
tons of salt particles
-ones that he even didn't know existed-
to pierce him

till he feels the surging hurt,
the kind which
emotional Band-Aids don't subdue

"You have the right to remain silent....
anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law."
In the USA, these are known as the Miranda rights.
Often it's the best 'common' sense approach even in personal relationships.
Prying someone open like an oyster...that's some powerful imagery!
But that's what many people feel they have the 'right' to do.
