sometimes,
clay
is just clay

but in the hands
of a master...
it breathes

Sister, sister, sister, sister!  With regard to your comment about our being sisters - Scorpio - etc - I am beginning to think that we are twins!

I wrote a poem, not that long ago - on 16 June this year - called When A Poet Speaks, which is very closely related to this one!  I would post it now, but have posted my 3 for today.

I love yours.  I can just imagine you shaping that clay . . . you do it so well metaphorically in real life and also with words.

And this, like clay, has many layers.

An art teacher told me once that most artists are pretty much equally skilled, but the best ones are those who know when their work is done.

The brevity of this'n illustrates that beautifully.

Yes! Everyone is a potential Master no doubt, but there are those who dare BE THE CREATION.... like children.

Wonderful thought.

Smiling thank-yous to each who read.
Yes, ArtSolstice, the comment made by Serenity Blaze's art teacher is often true.

and resounds with a chanticleer-truth!

adopting a minimalist style these days? this was like a breath of fresh air, more so since the brevity was unexpected

Your poetry, very simply, must be made of clay, for it lives and breathes just as surely as the clay of which you write.

What would you attempt to do...if you knew you could not fail?.

Yes, art is turning thought
and vision
into reality

Dear Kacy,

Keep sculpting,
it will even out the times
your words take our breath
away

It is what it is,
and in His hands,
It always will be.

this 'write' seems to have been 'sculpted' from the finest 'poetic clay!'
