Lay awake with me tonight,
in whispers underneath the moon,
sharing souls, dreams take flight,
feeding my heart with poetic spoon,

breathe your breath upon my face,
a velvet misty vapor covering me,
you have brought me to this place,
your soft touch, my healing recovery,

The windows of my soul are open,
you have lit the candles aflame,
once this harden heart was broken,
you mend it when you whisper my name,

Tell me your darkest secrets,
share with me your dreams and mind,
as we move forward with no regrets,
no pause, or fast forward, not rewind,

hear the silence in the air,
so peaceful, just you and I,
as your fingers run through my hair,
you kiss the tears from my eyes,

This is our moment, our time,
melt me, mold me, shape my heart,
hold it precious to steal is a crime,
promise to never break it apart,

Lay with me here tonight,
in the shadows of the moon,
wrap your arms around me tight,
For morning comes to soon...
