When you find you’re still dancing to the same old tune long after the first note struck the music must be of fine quality not destined to ever die out. And this music of mind like love plays on in the background of life gentle and soft, pleasantly sweet and enough to bring on a need forceful and strong, agreeably pure ~ and so it keeps turning and turning from then until it must end. Does it end; can it end and start up again or simply become unheard as life interrupts and interludes start from one minute to months to years? And it’s there in the pause that I yearn and long for a quick two-step or a waltz, a tango, or simply to sway to the goodness so long ago learnt. I learnt, you see, to dance inwardly to the music remembered and known but the constraints of physical life frightens a man and a woman and chases the goodness away. There’s no spider or bug or creepy crawly and nothing to say I must move but I know as I know that lovers must dance before mind has settled into the pause and remains forever as always before. It’s later now, the music is feint, and the interludes stretch beyond the feel of memory’s repeated beat because nobody knows, they simply don’t know, love must be lived to know it again when intrusions do not exist. So says the sage of old-fashioned ways born to know now that tomorrow depends on today’s music of mind! Helen / 15 June 2008 (I'm still alive through the loving and all which just goes to show that love never kills or harms a woman like me destined to be one day made real in the life of a wonderful man!) Yeah - but life intrudes. [This message has been edited by Honeybunch (06-16-2008 09:47 AM).] |

"And it’s there in the pause that I yearn and long for a quick two-step" Life itself, is a forever dance, Honeybunch. Sometimes the 'love' choreographer gives us a waltz when we wanted a tango? |

Dear Helen, I will come back to read your music here again, it deserves a deeper listening. No doubt, the instruments need some attunement every now and then, so that the music of love can be fully enjoyed. So happy you are back with your sensitive beautiful poetry. Love and hugs and may you be fine also in the new place! Margherita |

Hi Margherita! This is just a visit. Not quite back yet but I've no doubt that I will be if life doesn't throw up too many distractions. Thank you so much for your kind comment. Hope you are well. Hugs Helen |

I am so happy to hear from you again Helen, you had me worried you know. You are so right, the music may fade a little with time, but as long as it still beats in our hearts, than we know that it is still there. With that said, I was wondering if you would do me the great honor of having this next dance with me? A waltz of whimsy if you will, or perhaps a tango for two in time, either way, share with me that rhythm of yours that has so delighted me over the years. I’ll try my best, not to step on your toes. All my best, Rich |

Hellen! I was so pleased to see that you're back! ~ and with another fine poems on which to feast! It appears as though your life is in flux but may it soon settle down to a nice and easy flow. The music around us may be discordant and not conducive to the type of dance step we like, but as long as we have our own brand of music in our mind ~ we can dance whenever and whatever we like! Dance on, sweet friend! Write on! Loving hug and an understanding nod, Linda |
