       Moments of Respite

Dwell in the calm, gentle moments
of a long-shadow sunset’s warm
  afterglow,
and a fine crescent moon rising,
to dance with nested galaxies
over rooftop, field, and forest,
letting Nature provide brief
   respite
from the haunting thoughts
and memories of the bright
short-candle of ‘life’,
and all the rolling years
...passing...

This makes for a nice prelude to Summer. Your poem is concise and says so much.
Life is precious and it's short, and the seasons of our life are just that.

A compelling reflection, especially for a Fathers' Day weekend, Poet, when we are often likely to reflect on the "short- candle of life" from past and present perspectives.
