I live in an uninhabited house, windows look at the weather, cupboards are full of journeys, mirrors are deprived of faces. The telephone calls memories, the clock radio makes its work, some ghosts manufacture clouds. I live in an uninhabited house, but I know better than the strangers who throw their thoughts against the walls of my house. |

This is beautiful! Sad and nostalgic - but then I am a sucker for nostalgia! I love the way you used metaphor to say things in an extremely unique way. I read it several times and understood it better each time. This, like all of your poetry, is a keeper. - Owl |

Thank You Owl for your kind comment, I wrote this poem after receiving a phone call asking me wether my house was inhabited....I then imagined living in an uninhabited house which is in itself a total paradox, I tried to collect metaphors of this paradox... Have a very nice day yann |

You did that very well. I love your poem even more knowing the history, but like the fact that you only told us the origin and aim afterwards so that I could read it and enjoy it before hearing the history. - Owl |

Hi Owl, you're perfectly right, we always ignore the origins of the poems and sometimes it authorizes the mind to wander in differents ways, there is for and against in the process. have a nice day yann Ps : I went on the web and add 2 south african newspapers to my favorite to know a little more about your country, what's going on there... |

Oh, that was nice of you to add 2 South African newspapers to your favourites? Which newspapers did you choose? - Owl |

Yes, Yann, they are. The reason why I asked was to know where they were printed. The Mail and Guardian I think is in Johannesburg, but the Daily News is printed in Durban where I live. - Owl |
