In this poem i have compared the man to moon and the women to nature. Youth and old age of the man to the two phases of the moon.... Today to my full size, I have grown, I am alone and have to make decisions on my own, It is day for her and night in my part of the world, Our hearts are young, thought we could do anything under the sun. As the sun goes down, She wore a multi colored gown, With the expectation to see me, her eyes spoke a thousand words, I bit goodbye to my part of the world. She stood waiting for me, her jet black hair, her eyes blue, Looking at each other our eyes where glued, Time for the birds, back to their nest they flew, A river flowing besides, alongside gigantic eucalyptus grew. Hiding behind the clouds and trees, We played the game of hide and seek, To describe her, I have no words to speak, She turned me to a man from a freak. Moving closer to her, I touched her feet, This increased both our heart beats, This feeling was warmth and not heat. For years we secretly met, Nobody had a clue, take a bet, In the river we took a ride on the boat with fishing net. I asked her to keep this a secret to herself, Through her times of struggle, I was not there to help, She had to face the harsh weather all her life, For now in the other world, I had my own children and wife. Today to my ripe age I have grown, I am again alone and unable to make decisions on my own, On the dark streets I have been thrown. About her I wanted to scream out to the world, Now she stood by my side and said these comforting words, “By Heart we are still young; I still feel we could do anything under the sun”. ![]() "Hardwork pays in the long run" |

Wow Prasad, that is beautiful. A love story about the moon and nature? Funny - the moon is my "totem" if you will. So reading this poem was very special. Thanks. d |

Dear Prasad, this is quite captivating and I agree with your conclusion. This is the moment to be happy under the sun and in the moonlight too. Very very lovely. Love, Margherita ![]() |

Hi Prasad, this is really poetic and lovely, the story is nice and interesting, I agree women bring light to the world which can be sometime difficult to enjoy cause perhaps we don't see from where come this light: It is day for her and night in my part of the world, I think I could say a lot about your poem, I will read it again.
