Forever In Your Heart

Allow me to tell a tale,
one of long, long ago,
where a ship did set sail,
across the world to and fro,

There was a magical maid,
born full of wonder and surprise,
for her the flute was made,
she bore a sparkle in her eyes,

When on the flute she blew,
there appeared another time,
a world no one knew,
full of song and rhyme,

All the children gathered near,
to hear her magical tales,
pleasing to their tiny ears,
silencing their pleading wales,

As they sat in humbled stillness,
the magic bubbles would float,
filled with wonderment, joyfullness,
they saw three fairies in a boat,

Then came the beautiful seashells,
filled with the wonders of the sea,
horses riding mermaids with tails,
glowing butterflies, far as you can see,

So may stories, so many places,
filled with excitement, imagination,
to see the smile upon their faces,
was blissful exhilaration,

When the moon came to stay,
she had to pack her flute away,
off to bed the children did sway,
awaiting the stories of another day!

Hi ARH, The painting so beautiful so is your poem. I felt like I was there with those kids sitting besides the magical maid. Nice write. Prasad
