Watching life unfold around me.
Is like sitting
in an old movie theater,
seeing the pictures
flickering across the screen
and disappearing
into the next scene.
Just as I become
absorbed in the story,
it is over.
The End.
And then...
I just sit there in the dark
waiting for the lights to come on.
Wondering if
I have the price of admission
for the sequel.

Nice Ida,

Is "disappearind" a word, or do you mean "disappearing".  Be careful with spelling if you are planning on getting stuff published.

May you have many life sequels yet to enjoy! ~ and if you did not have the 'price of admission' ~ I'd foot the bill! ~ and throw in some popcorn as well!

Love you, dear Ida!

Great poem, Ida! There is, though, a double whammy---we'd like to be around for it, but will the sequel be worth the wait!

I really like this, but then, I really like sitting in movie theatres! And sometimes it does seem as if life is one big movie to me too.

It's just hard to tell from scene to scene which genre it is

Excellent 'write!'

[as is typical of this fine author!]

applause!

[Life's 'trailer' and 'out takes' might be
  rather fascinating as well?!]

If the price of admission is to entertain and inspire than I think you have paid enough for the whole trilogy.

Love this Ida!

It is a wonderful life my friend, we should enjoy each moment of it, we have one try, one chance to make it what we would like it to be, I watch it too, thinking of how it should be instead of being thankful for each moment of it I live. The movie will finish soon enough my friend and we hope that light does appear, I also hope addmission to upstairs is not too much.

Enjoyed the read Ida, thank you.
