Watching the streets below-
People walking with such a gait
as if the pavement knew how they needed to move.
Automobiles passed by
looking for that same destination
it seems.
All the time the clouds from afar
wished…
and the stones lacing each building
wished…
They too were, where they first
came from.
When, reminded by a passing summer breeze.
That each time we follow our own wandering thoughts.
Brings us closer to what we really want to see.
When moments are caressed,
so we can grasp why such thoughts are calling.
To feel the melt-
When you realized
it only took a moment
to notice.
To bring a smile for such a thing
that most don’t see.
