It always seems were chasing, Chasing what we can’t have, The air that leaves us wanting more, But the money catches you, The love raises you, But I’m done chasing, I’ve learned and bruised, And I have grown… Grown into a “man”, At least someone who understands That beauty rests with accepting Who we are, what were surrounded by, And that our happiness will come with a sleek patience, With an understanding, That everyone’s happiness is different, How one person’s views serenity Can be fatally flawed to another. I still question regardless, My imperfections are perfections, And I don’t claim to be higher than anyone else. I merely rinse my hands and smile in the mirror. |
