Balladeer and Toerag, were walking down the street,
When to their misfortune, a mugger they did meet,
The robber had a great big gun, he growled with gnarly sneer,
“Hand me all your money, or you won't be leaving here,”
With pointed the gun the bandit added, “don't do anything rash,
Just reach into your pockets, and pull out all your cash.”
'Deer pulled out his wallet, a twenty's all he had,
Then he turned to Toerag, saying, “I've been feeling bad,
About that night in Vegas, when I was short of dough,
Handing Toe the twenty, said "Here's the money that I owe."

The rythm in this poem is so clear.
Good work Tim.
Intresting theme too.. hm.. I think you just gave me some ideas.
I think I'll check some of your other works.

That Balladeer has more between his horns than I had previously given him credit for!

Smart deer for passing the 'buck' which he would have lost anyway! lol

Good one, Tim!
