Seeking Stability

Masticating calmness fills your stall
A step here and there carefully aware
The bulk of your meat covered in black walnut
Satin hide laced with veins
My fingers gather grey sweat oil
Stroking under your mane
You turn to look
Temples flexing with your jaw
And those big simple eyes blink
Never asking what’s wrong with mine
Just, “Thanks for these oats Love.”

Ms Dragon, enjoyed you horsing around with you pen here.

I was playing with your work and savoring it in little bites, pausing my thoughts to look back at what I just read...here is what I saw..

Dear GreenDragon,

This is a good poem about a horse.  I like horses too.
