AGED TO PERFECTION? All the signs are there I'm getting old My body can no longer stand the cold Grey hairs are appearing on my chest And I have to wear a thermal vest In order to 'perform' I have to know in advance So I can recover from the effort Of removing my underpants I can still do all the things I did as a kid But they take longer now than they ever did Pop music today just get's on my wick And I can't walk too far without the aid of a stick Most of my hair is gone but my teeth are all my own Or at least they will be when I've paid back the loan I think I saw an old friend today but I can't remember his name I wonder how long he's had that walking frame? But I have survived and am living proof That you can grow old and still cling to your youth And I can still hold my head in the air Even if I have to be helped into my wheel chair So please take pity the next time you see me For although I may have exceeded my sell by date The one thing that I really hate Is being told I'm past it at just 53! |

Hey, Effjayel! Man, you're not old No matter what folks say. It's all in your perspective. Just look at it this way. You're getting balder than an eagle now. So what? You shouldn't care. You don't see brand new babies come Into this world with hair. You're teeth are gone? Big deal, man. Don't fret thinking about 'em. Those newborn entering this world Do pretty well without 'em. You drool a lot? Well, so do they. You wet your pants? Them, too! You're just a geezer born again Depends look well on you! |
