Like any tough guy on the corner, Angelo forever has to defend his honor. There’s a new kid on the block. The new kid’s heard all about Angelo and his exploits. The new kid’s even smaller than Angelo, and he already is after taking over Angelo’s turf. “Yo, Angelo, think you’re a tough guy don’t you Angelo?” “Yeah, so what’s it to you?” “I think you’re nothing but a punk— tough Angelo. I’m going to mess up your pretty face.” “You’re always welcome to try creep. I’ll give you a fair one.” The kids start in on each other. They mix it up good. They even roll around out into the street, nearly getting hit by a car. This new kid is too fast for Angelo. The new guy lands a lucky one, and knocks Angelo to the pavement. Angelo has to call it quits. It hurts like the devil. Angelo’s lost control of the corner. Angelo and the new kid become the best of friends. The new guy appoints Angelo as his main man. Bobby |

Thanks dear Linda, Yes they will. It's a tough, dirty job, but someone has to do it. Angelo and his boss say hello. Love Bobby |

Just goes to show that sometimes the battles form the deepest alliances. Angelo was smart to realize that friendship can grow from the beatings one takes. A |

Thanks dear Alison, You've got it. When I was growing up in Altoona, PA my neighbor kid across the alley used to fight in his back yard. Finally I got sick of it, and gave him a real beating down out in front of our grade school. We still write to each other on a regular basis after 60+ years. Bobby |
