Dare to Dream ~ BIG
by Linda L. Dowd

Though I may be in the proverbial
‘prime time’ of my life,
I still consider myself ‘a work in progress’.
Since childhood, I have set goals for myself
and have worked diligently and tirelessly,
towards achieving them.
Several have been reached
~ but there remain a few dreams,
yet to be unwrapped.

My youthful aspirations
of attaining fame and fortune,
are of less importance to me
now that I have become a confident,
self-realized woman.
Through adversity, I have grown.
Through my mistakes I have learned.
My happiness no longer depends
on my attaining mega-material riches
and adoring fans.
However, I certainly would not
push them away, either!
~ and I still dare to dream ~ BIG!
As the old adage goes,
“All comes in Divine time!

Fame and fortune would be nice, just as long as we can keep our friends and loved ones too.  Really, it wouldn't be any fun to be famous if we didn't have relatives to say 'I told you so' to, would it? And somebody to brag to all their friends about us. I like the reality of this one very much.

Yes, dear Linda, me too!  There's as much chance of those dreams being real as not so dream away ... and believe!

...and don't you ever stop!

Because you've already made it to the top
in all of the ways that count...

Pilgrim ~

Absolutely! What are fame and fortune if one does not have their family and friends to share and enjoy it with. I know the price of this. My recent X-boyfriend's star is shining BIG time ~ but, alas, it has gone to his HEAD.

Oh, the price of fame!

Love and humble hugs,
Linda

Honey Bun ~

Hello, Honey! When I was a little girl, I used to sing, dance, play my guitar, act-out, spout my poetry ~ anything to get people's attention. (I suppose it is the Leo in me! lol). I would pretend I was performing in front of a huge audience! As an adult, it did come to pass. Mind you, the audiences have not been "huge" ~ but they certainly have been appreciative.

It is no longer the end-prize that is important to me ~ it is the journey.

Love to you!

~ and may our stars continue to rise! lol

Sunshiny One ~

Good morning! What a lovely thing for you to say! ~ But then again, lovely people say and do lovely things!

By the way, this post was written by my Earthy Angel alter ego! The EA side of me has ever so modest, and divinely philanthropic, aspirations. lol

Love and Sun Light,

2islander2 ~

From one "work in progress" to another, I am giving you a 'high-five'!

Merci beaucoups, mon ami pour les mots chers! (Excuse my French. I do not speak it as well as you do English!)

Dear Linda,

Your blond picture reminds me of our Sally in her big hair bouffant days in the sixties.  Man, her hair was a mile tall.

Oh, Toe!

If only you dreamed of being the chair! Then all the school girls would be sitting on you!

Sweet dreams!
