Night mare only begun

I close my eyes,
just for a second
or two.
I dream of rainbows,
flowers and sun.

But when I flutter
my eyes open. I see
a nightmare only
at its mir begon.

I see killing and blood.
I see abuse and tears.
I see more than my
younge eyes have ever
dreamt or ever hoped.

What has this world
become but a war
not ready to give
way or give us
a chance to live
a clean life. Of
god from above.

It leaves scars
and scrapes.
And it soon
enough leaves pain
and suffering in
our cold black hearts.

~ There is a lot of ugliness in this world so perhaps you should keep your eyes closed for longer than "a second or two" and continue to dream of the world's beauty of "rainbows, flowers and sun."

May all your dreams be sweet and be reflections of our world in a dreamer's reality.

~ We can dare to dream!
