we discovered the seventh day by accident
almost lost in a storm of warm wanting
but we stopped our sinful worship momentary
long enough to consume our communion

of french fries and ice cream ketchup
as you played in our church room too
marking my temple with tooth graffiti
and getting my hand fulls as payback

we heard the children of us laughing
and we knelt and said our prayers
beside the bed that barely fit us
when we pretended cowboys and doctors

and undid each other's healing
with our own special kind of salvation
screaming out and chanting forgiveness
in those moments before our storms

when we both were gods of equal value

D

You know, I really missed your poetry and see that I have a lot to catch up on.  This is the perfect one to take me to sleep though.  I love it.

Thank you for you.
