Via Pan American Upon the ridge I see a polynesian beauty lying on the ground in lei's and a colorful flower dress. Within her sight a sea plane bringing a load of tourists from far away shores to the lush beauty of these south sea islands. Soon the plane will land on the sparkling bay where ukulele's and hula girls will welcome them to this island paradise, and a paradise it will stay as long as the tourists partake of its warmth and beauty and in a few days fly away. Yo James, I love this one. I know how you feel. Here in Philly "America Start Here", we get gangs of tourists. They come in their tour buses through our slums, and they look at us out of their windows. I just wish they’d leave more money here. Bobby |

Lovely poem, dear James. Tourism is a blessing, but there are also the negative sides to it, no doubt. I appreciate the quieter days here too ... Love, Margherita |
