Rejoicing

The morning seems so empty, dark and cold
Without your warmth to chase the morning chill.
Another day of loneliness unfolds
Apart from you again against my will.
And yet this morning differs from the rest,
As soon we’ll claim the prize of patience kept.
The surety of love confessed, supressed
Is sure reward for tears discreetly wept.
Hungering to taste the fruit forbidden,
At last to be forbidden nevermore,
We’ll feast on love that can’t remain hidden
Unleashing every passion held in store.

No reservations left nor any doubts,
The world must hear rejoicing in our shouts.

Listening to every heart

David,

Should this be a poem of heart, then I hope
all goes well, for everyone. Yet, I could hear
the pain within.

Nothing but pride goes before a fall.

moving write...loved this line best:

"As soon we’ll claim the prize of patience kept."
