Why I hate writing

This notion I have in broken time,
Becomes the basis for a rhyme

That tries to say my hearts true thought,
But which regrettably hasn’t caught

The real emotion, deeply felt,
That in my veins is fully spelt

I struggle not to let it die,
But in the end must let it lie

I’ll try again another day,
To pen again some other way
