A Not So Romantic Rhapsody

I see a man walking in the rain,
all around him I see broken down buildings
and worn out cars bathing in the rain.

The camera zooms in close
and upon this mans face I
see nothing but pain.

In the beginning
it was not that way.
Two young lovers had
discovered the arms of each other
and a romantic rhapsody
filled their nights and days,
until it went wrong,
another woman slipped into his arms,
a woman that never belonged,
and foolishly what used to be
became a not so romantic rhapsody.
