Spreading your words like a sweet icing Glossing over her pain with the same tired prose Put on display in a shiny window, then boxed up and tied with twine Given to her as a gift One she's received one hundred times before She has no need to unwrap them now It's become easy to quote gifts verbatim Binding the gift horses mouth, she can't wait to feel like a woman again |

Nice poem and sadly too true. The picture adds to the poem though the imagery is strong enough not to need it |

Clapping for you and for this... The mundane is so predictable isn't it!?! Great little poem here, Tina Trivett~ |

The truth of this speaks and spreads better than the best dark chocolat... oh, the sins of man... makes it so hard for us to be a true woman. Well done! |
