The Way You Look at Me |

Why do you look at me that way? What does a silent moment say? Is it a message of complaint Held tight in disciplined restraint? Perhaps your thoughts are tender need Spawned by a deeply nourished seed Or don’t you even care to know How bonds are made and feelings grow? Your eyes revealed no hint, no clue ‘ Of thoughts that dwelled inside of you And yet I felt compelled to pause And ponder why’s unknown because I closed my book and laid it down The earth no longer spun around There was no peace until I knew What secrets captivated you And when all reason in my head Was spent, I called you to my bed You came as quickly as you could Like any faithful doggie would Liz |

I feel the very same way about my adorable little cat "Angel". She even comes when I call her! ~ Rather unusual for most cats. Pets give so selflessly of themselves. I was pleased with the positive ending to this lovely poem. I can picture the whole scenario quite clearly ~ because you portrayed it so vividly! To love and our loving pets! Linda |

Liz, My dog "Hilda" says hello. This is a lovely classic poem. It's also well formed and arranged. It's way smooth. Bobby |

Liz, I was just so pleased to read this wonderful poem. The rhyme and rhythym is spot on. I have a wonderful little dog too, Rozzie, who can count, tell you how old she is and is like a child to my wife and me. Loved it Lindsay |
