There’ll be a second, moment, time, when I won’t think to pay that dime wrapped, preserved, within the soul and waiting there symbolically as the all I give to you. And there’ll be another time perhaps when interest on what wasn’t paid will weight me like a Christmas tree and stand me in a corner a forever non-partaker in true love’s celebration. But I’ve searched to not now find again that dime I knew was always there and so for me who gave and lost I guess a bed up in a loft to be as one in heaven but surely not as blessed. To pay or not? To love or not? And there’ll come another time, I bet when the jingle and the emptiness will blend into no consequence and so of beds and trees and such I guess it’s all just too much … junk! And there’ll come another time, I bet when the jingle and the emptiness will blend into no consequence ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The cost of loving is the hearts greatest loss. Sure makes for good poetry though! Hugs you, Helen~ |

quote: and that would be a pity, dear Helen! You write masterfully. Love and debts in giving and receiving though alter love's essence, which is, I think, allergic to measurements ... being limitless, infinite, only waiting to be shared abundantly. And I know that you know! Love and hugs. Margherita |

Yes, I do know but thanks for reminding me. "I guess" we're all inclined to forget ... that a bed in a loft is so much more than many others can ever hope to have. Love Helen |

Hi, Honey! "I guess" that there is one heckuvvalot of "junk" in one's life that can make one jaded at times. I've been there. Mind you, I now throw caution to the wind and I live ~ really live, and pay ~ and love ~ without fear in my heart. Come what may, I have an inner knowing that all will ultimately be for my Higher Good. I still have 'achy-breaky' moments, but they are all a part of my life's journey. Adversity has made me resilient! lol Loving hug, Linda |
