Left to stand under the wings of truth
I would find a newer thought
And time to search, in a clearer shadow
All the natural things that flee the light of day

Would I see you there?
Or do you find, in luxurious twilight
Beyond the starry realm, the answers
To a million, breathless dreams?

I’ve come to believe that this
Is as natural to you as petals to a rose,
You bloom year-round, perennial
Like the sun, naturally, inspires

So I would be content, without reserve
And in fine excess, sustained
Where beauty is never half-way
Beneath the Muse of my desires
