It is morning once again,
the light of the sun reaches in,
awakens me with warmth,

warming my body, cold and alone,
my bare body feels exposed,
as my mind drifts back to happier moments.

moments of deep connection,
a connection without touch,
deeper than anything ever felt,

often my mind visits you,
to keep my sanity in this world,
as a remembrance to love,

knowing love does exist,
love beyond physicalness,
I'm telling you, it was real.

Never has my soul, my heart,
my mind, been touched, loved,
so deeply,

such a powerful force,
caught me off guard,
lifted me up beyond myself,

I write these words,
not out of writing,
for writings sake,

No!, I write these words,
hoping to convince you,
It was real,

Even through all the broken words,
sleepless nights, why does my mind,
keep coming back to you?,

Simple, yet happy
my heart became the fountain of joy,
overflowing with love and laughter,

you and I are the same,
we love with every breath,
we live for it, die for it,
our thoughts are consumed by it.

not only is it the love itself,
but the way we love with devotion,
thoughtful words and gifts,

tokens of love held in my hands,
a love note from long ago,
a wax seal encrested upon it,

words of poetry written from your heart,
written upon parchment paper,
with a quill, sealed with love,

a divine gift I treasure,
as others, I touch often,
you are another world,
another diminsion, another time,

you took my heart,
upon this journey,
a journey my soul will never
forget!

I wish you would come,
take my hand, take me,
with you into flight,
to journey with you,
once more,

How can I love now?
with the standard you,
have set before me?
before all others who
cannot compare?

When you stumble upon these words,
allow your heart to know,
they are more than words,
but pieces of my soul,

Fragments left behind,
needing your love to piece
them together,

I write it all,
in remembrance to us,
a remembrance to love!
