My attraction to you seems to correspond to our apparent distance apart, for as we get nearer the force becomes clearer and there's a greater tugging on my heart. But with the distance increased I feel your influence released and I'm again floating free, only to be pulled back into the field of your gravity. Falling helplessly, no chance to obtain escape velocity. But why should there be? By then the only place for me is next to your heavenly body. A feeling that can only be defined as longing to be with you trying to occupy the same space at the same time. Rick Delmonico |

the rise and fall of humankind and the thrusting forces of nature are all tied to that gravitational attraction experienced in the acceleration toward the climax of such a holy, exhilarating journey...i enjoyed both the poem and the journey! |
