Love: so beautiful and painful. Why does it cause such strife? Loving one who doesn't love you too. Being left by the love of your life. Unwarranted jealousy in my heart... Why? Why should I be so attatched, that I feel that way? Nonetheless, it seems I cannot help but to care. Loving some one miles and oceans away. That lonely feeling, a lack of love... There's so many ways love causes pain. So then why do we all want to experience love? Isn't true love truely impossible to attain? Who can even define true love? Can anyone even say for sure it's real? I think it's a mystery or an illusion. But, is this not love in my heart that I feel? I wish I could just turn my heart off. Like switching off a bothersome light. Instead I'm forced to confront my emotions. They attack me with all their might. Anger, sadness, love, all in my heart, Raging a war. I guess I'll have to fight. If I don't, they will be the end of me. Fight through the darkness, into the light. |

There may be times when we are scorched by the searing flames of love gone wrong. However, there may also be times when love that is right, swells to a glorious conflagration that is exhilarating! May you always experience the latter scenario!   EA |

I hear ya! I suppose we wouldn't appreciate the beauty of love going right if we didn't know the pain of love gone wrong... But mainly I don't think we have a say in who our hearts see. Lovely poem.  M.G. |
