I could say a million truths, Make a million moves, But that doesn’t constituent an inner truth. A truth of the street seas Of cell phones and wide range cars That trickle from the blonde hair youths, That tint their windows From the dark blocks, The crying seas Of babies pale skins tearing Through the nights ripped skin. Jackie’s sleeves cant hide her tracks, Tracks of addiction, Where the doorknob won’t lock, Won’t fade the knives and glocks That trifle and stifle The kids round cheeks of a tomorrow That never comes, Never drums anymore Through the shallow streets I walk through. Where girls can bend their skirts and fur boots, How the sun doesn’t shine the same way to each of us, And my fear is, I wont be able to change what I see, But what I feel is stronger than anything I believe. |

powerful but dark, this write is compelling...I chose the following 3 lines as my favorites "Tracks of addiction, Where the doorknob won’t lock," "How the sun doesn’t shine the same way to each of us" "I wont be able to change what I see, But what I feel is stronger than anything I believe" |

Very good write. I especially like the opening lines. Muna seasaimid le ceartas, ní sheasfaidh ceartas linn - Francis Bacon |

Powerful voice spoke from the images. True fact. Touch me deeply. And my fear is, I wont be able to change what I see, But what I feel is stronger than anything I believe. profound!!! |
