Glories

I planted the morning glory
seeds that you sent
or at least the ones
that you promised
to send
They bear gorgeous flowers
in bright lipstick red
pure snow white
and fine powder blue
openly greeting every day
anew like I would greet you

~if only you had sent them~

Beautiful imagery. Makes me think of promises that i've broken, and the pain i might have caused. Good write.

A wistful write. 'Invasive' morning glories are beautiful, and tenacious....maybe difficult to
avoid' the associated thoughts? Good to read you again, Krawdad.

This is sublimely tender and beautifully written, dear Krawdad.
