Memory

The photograph keeps a moment of life in frozen perfection, a laugh and smile preserved.

Slowly it slips from my hand and shatters on the floor, the laughter gone and smile lost.

The shards on the floor sparkle with a thousand lost moments, the non-existent debris of a life gone by.

I sift thru the pile and let the sands of unborn memory pour between my fingers, as I weep for what will never be.

Sunny smiles never seen and joyous laughter never heard, are the unborn memories that haunt my dreams...

Not really poetry i know, but it means something to me and i just wanted to put it out there. Thank you for reading.
