Felix and His Affinity For Stairs |

Felix’s foster Dad likes to kick him down stairs. The first time was a few days after he arrived. He was just standing there, minding his own business. He just happened to be standing at the top of the green stairs. Felix felt the boot placed in the small of his back, he felt the push. Felix found himself flying down the stair head over heels. He was young, and he wasn’t hurt. He just picked himself up, and went into the sitting room, like nothing happened. He thought that was the best thing he could do. The second time was in the barn. Again, the surprise boot in the small of his back. He landed in the hay, again, no harm done. After that, Felix always checked that he was alone, when he went to navigate any stairs, anywhere at all. gosh Bobby, this makes me almost want to kick Felix's foster dad down some stairs, to see how he would like it! But, unfortunately I can't, cause he lives too far away from me! But the thought is there! love RDB Be kind at heart....for everyone you meet has their own battle to fight......... |

I am glad Felix is using extra caution these days and I too would like to give the old fellow the boot! Thank goodness for Felix's resilency. sharyn |

Felix should have let me hit him in the head with the hoe!!! I really just wish I could give Felix a big hug and take him away and show him the other side of life...What it can be, what it should be. Tammy<333 |

Dear RDB, Thanks for the kind thought on this subject. The foster Dad has been dead for years, so you couldn't do that now anyway. Love Bobby |

Seoulair, Yes, you are correct in your assessment. I'm sure he had some good points, I just can't think of any. Bobby |

Thanks Tammy<333, For your kind words and thoughts. Felix did find the good part of life, pretty much on his own, and with the help of Sally. Bobby |

James, Thanks for your wise thoughts on this subject. Some foster Dads are like that. It's a big social problem. Bobby |

We have an innate survival sense but, even so, we learn more from the experience of hard knocks! I love the deeper meaning in this poem. Art |

Thanks Art, What you say is very true. It's always a good idea to be aware of your surroundings. Bobby |
