 * Carry me through the rain * Stormy clouds gather in my sky, heavy downpour blurs my vision and big puddles chill my feet. I let the water cascade over my brooding to remove all the moody dust occluding my brain. And I wish you would carry me through the rain. Within your cupped hands my tears convert into marbles painted with flashing smiles, you fling them with determination into the tunnel of sorrow created in moments of mystification. Escorted by the sound of your persuasive voice all remnants of dark thoughts leave the meanders of my mind. You take my hand in yours and infuse new life into my dormant feelings of belonging. Your calm trust swells up and floods my heart and soul, obstacles disappear from my sight. Tears and raindrops melt into rivers of release. Summoned by the sun, in shafts of light I’m lifted up into healing spheres of peace. I am no longer stuck in the grip of pain for you have carried me through the rain. * |
