Wash Day

Lately, I wander fickle winds
Warm jet streams, then chilled extremes
As I flounder, like a kite in tow
Although, what has fate painted on my face
But boundless skies, to soft blue eyes
Waiting patiently the prayers of trees
Budding leaves against my knees
Has heaven changed horizons for a time?
Here, I see the clouds throw wager at the sun
Stars spin dizzy, just chips before the dawn is done
Lying back into the arms of unknown scores
Let them wander too beyond the great outdoors
Should I say the words, that common place absurd’s?
Did you feel my breath upon your neck,
Or are you blind?

All I can say is lovely...absolutely lovely...may have been away for a while, but I knew where to look for a good write...If I remember correctly you were and still are an expert in writing about nature.

Loved the lines:
"Waiting patiently the prayers of trees
Budding leaves against my knees"

TD

"Did you feel my breath upon your neck,
Or are you blind?"

There is nothing quite like an impactful ending such as this.  Enjoyed!
