For The Life of Her

Just out of reach . . .
that which was an extension of me;
three years, some days, hours . . . minutes.
Eyes, blue – sky, the color,
forever closed,
voice, always present -
quite, never even to whisper . . . again.
She . . .was me, my heart –
my soul full of dreams.
I lived – for the life of her.
I pass with the passing of her.
Three years, some days, hours. . .minutes,
His gift to me,
just out of reach,
that which was – an extension of me.

This is an excellent expression of the feeling of loss. I love the way you structure your lines with a variety of methods. It makes your poetry unique and interesting to read. One question-is
"His gift to me," supposed to be Her or am I just reading it wrong? Thanks for the pure pleasure this brought.
