I Dreamed Of You

I dreamt of you again tonight;
I felt your touch in dark of night;
and heard your whisper fall on ears
that seemed as deaf for countless years.

I caught the scent of your cologne
so strong it simply made me groan -
A masculine, yet heady, scent
that took my breath and left me spent.

I dreamt of you again tonight.
I longed for you in eve’s twilight.
I felt your lips graze on my own
then woke to find myself alone.

I cursed the heavens, cried in pain;
consumed by woe, nearly insane,
I wept with grief so bitter deep
then closed my eyes in hopes to sleep.

I am nothing special...and my name will soon be forgotten,but I've loved another with all my heart and soul,and to me,this has always been enough.~N.S
