O darling April! How I love your soft blue skies, Your high, feathery clouds, Your pastel landscape Of subtle greens and browns, The ponds shimmering With sunlight’s laughter! But how these dark, heavy clouds, So low, and weeping rain? Alas, there is a rain That dwells in the clouds of the mind, Even in April’s warm and golden climes. |
