COMPROMISE |

This tiny vessel, its yellow sail, flickering in the lyric of waves a choreography that tosses our smiles with gasps. Out in the sea, our souls no longer haunted by philosophies of dead dreamers and tiresome technical measurements. With my eyes, I ask to touch you. You smile timidly as the sun swirls inside your eyes. I release this oar into the ocean and clutch instead your wrist. The blood flows smooth, trickling subtle beats. I close my eyes and breathe the freedom of the sea. Let the will of this wave carry our ship wherever it must for I shall be perfectly content with whatever becomes of us tomorrow. |
