Leaning into each other's soul

*

Perched in the sacred tree of life
shooting through misty dawn
we pretended to enjoy freedom.
Until we met perchance
upon parallel thought waves
which had traveled far in unison
to merge above love horizons.

Leaning into each other's soul
we now breathe as one
chi flows unhindered and free,
in placid rivers of consciousness,
over sleeping volcanoes.

Glued together by flames of desire
we can't lose each other,
even when on wild wheels
we race in opposite directions,
swallowing different highways.

Because thought waves are like angels
... they move above light speed.

Leaning into each other's soul
we discover the perfect place to meet,
... it quietly waits for us
at the very core of the Whole.

Margherita,

This is a nice poem and picture.  It brings an interesting question to mind.  Does anything travel faster that the speed of light.

My scientific training tells me no, not even thoughts.

Thank you all my dear Pip Poet friends for the generous replies!

Dear Bobby, not always the laws of physics remain intact as we know from past experiences ... though the speed of light is said to be a physical constant, it is very fascinating to imagine that light speed can be smashed by new discoveries ...  thoughts being electrical impulses are surely very fast and probably we do not use yet our full potential ... anyway here I used my imagination.

Margherita, what a beautiful poem this is - I also love the concept of two souls leaning into each other.  You really seem to be writing from the position of present happiness.  I am too afraid to ask . . . contrary to a poem of mine called "Please say it isn't true", I say with trepidation, "Please say it IS true."

That need to be free, as in a tear shed. Knowing it all is waiting for us. You have the touch Margherita. That which seperates the clouds, so one can see. Very nice write conveying such...
