I Wait
For that first kiss of the day
The smile that makes me stay

I wait
for the smell of you perfume
My very heart does it consume

And still I wait
for the talk late at night
Holding hands has felt so right

And still i wait
For your soft caress
bestill my soul my pains are less

And still i wait
For you to realize
no more fond heart has gazed your eyes

Still i wait
To stand on my one knee
Your hand i ask to marry me

For when the time does come to pass
When strayed thoughts are gone at last
When i feel i do is in your heart
i'll give to you my all and not just part
Of everything i have for true
My love and hope i feel renew
I'll stop this wait and marry you
