And When we Dance

No one sees this light in my eyes
when I think of you
and then they do not realize
why I dip as I do
in single moments, coming clean
whether at work, or  play
that dancing this silent song with you
when silent words are all I say

oh, my love…

I could lean long and linger
into dreams that no one could even e’er imagine;
sounds of your name stitched into seems
that I would have at once examined;
but here you are          dancing with me,
and the whispers are scuffled beneath my feet
for no one knows, except
you and me          and love
a dessert we treat            one another.

oh, my love,

So, I think, do you hear on the winds of spring
so ever near            yet
underneath this ever melt of ice
where the princess once resided
e’er so long, long ago,      wanting to belong,
and will I feel your lips          again
to lift me, at last into
an ever distant when

or shall I reside in a dream to ride
the prince of wind, the prince of tides ~
this you, this love, this e’er know

and space be spacious
to please, yet ease, and better yet
hold our glow.

Oh, my love.

Edgy? Yes...but still standing...
