I feel you here. I feel you fall away. I try to hold you, and find a way to make you stay. But you're leaving, With a slow withdrawel. And i've let you go, With a whimper instead of a howl. It seems inevitable. I'll be alone. And it feels like my fault, Like reaping what i've sown. It's a strange love, that's tearing me in two. I want no one else but I never know what to say to you. Days go by. You never even call. You still say "I love you" And then you watch me fall. I just want you to tell me, How to make things right. I'll do anything you ask. I won't give up without a fight. Maybe your minds made up. Maybe you're already gone. But i still hope against the dark. And pray that I am wrong. Nice writing...my son's girlfriend told him she wants some time to be by herself and he is experiencing some doubts...he tells me that she texts him and gives him hope...I can see the positive in it...its helping him to understand how much he cares for her...James |

That's an eerily similar situation to the one this poem is about. The only catch is as I realize how much I care for her and need her I realize that I might be losing her forever...and that's a frightening thought.
