. Piper Cubs In slow curves Around the town Water tower On lazy summer Afternoons That slope up To the railroad tracks Crossed each day On the way to school Dogs and cats Baseball games At night Off to see My girl Shooting clothespins With a BB gun I was in love here Once upon a time . . . John, This is very nice writing. You were pretty good with that BB gun. I remember being shot in the butt with a BB gun by my best friend. I beat him up for it. We were still best friends. Bobby |

fine 'slice of life' impressionism!... This 'write' makes me 'wax nostalgic' for my family's 'home town' of Loch Haven, PA (where Piper Aircraft Corp. began)...once called "The flyingest 'lil city in America") The Piper Aircraft Museum is still located there. applause for this 'penning!' |

There is nothing I love more in a poem than the feel of nostalgia mixed in with good imagery and you poem had both. A good read |

I love the feel of nostalgia too. My brothers and I and our friends used to have BB gun fights. I really remember the sting of those days. Ida |
