God, I want a billion dollars, Please grant this wish for me. I want to purchase happiness, For all of those in need. I want to build a school, Where kids would never fear, Hire the greatest teachers, Start each class with prayer. I want to build some houses, For the homeless on the street, Food for all the hungry Nourishment for the weak. I want to make a different world, We've ruined this one so bad. Guess we never realized Everything we had. People suffering everywhere, The news is grim most every day, TV's all sex and violence Our morals are in decay. So grant this prayer for me dear God, I'll use the money in your name, Well, I may buy myself one little Porsche, With "God" on the license plate. Too funny, Better ask for a little more money, a million dollars don't go very far today, especially after the Porsche. Ida |

Very, very good. Enjoyed your humor, your kind heart and your intelligence. Love the read. see if you could work harder on your prayer. ![]() Angel is the smart one. [This message has been edited by Balladino (03-12-2008 12:12 PM).] |

I like the surprise ending---very appropriate, and kind of cute. The prayer begins with words that we sometimes feel, and it continues to fan the flames of the question: Why does an all powerful, loving God allow evil and misery to persist in His creation. |

Somehow I think you're going to need at least a trillion...perhaps in the 60's a million would have been enough...definately reminding me of that Janis Joplin song where she asks "Oh Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz"...I think she had to buy that Mercedes herself...James |

How very generous of you! I enjoyed this. What do you suppose our government does with all the billions? Oh yeah, the Porshes. God bless, Rae |

GILEAD....God doesn't allow or create evil....but, hopefully, with faith, he's there to help us thru those times.....If you're walking next to your 4 year old and she falls and hits her head....did you allow that?....Were you there to pick her up and comfort her?....Man creates evil...but, your question has been asked since the time of man....why did God "allow" Eve to eat that apple?....
